Financing of Care Systems and Policies in Latin America and the Caribbean

In Latin America and the Caribbean, the centrality of care in public agendas has been progressively incorporated, although in a heterogeneous manner, as a result of growing political commitments, as well as the work of women’s movements and analyses from feminist economics. These contributions have focused on the need to recognize, reduce, and redistribute care work as a key element in aspiring to more equal and inclusive societies.
