The purpose of the Working Group on Populations Left Behind of the Regional Collaborative Platform for Latin America and the Caribbean is to foster collaboration on sustainable development issues most relevant to their respective regions, with a specific focus on the Leave No One Behind approach. It provides leadership on transboundary issues and enables a cross-cutting approach inclusive of vulnerable populations.
Services
• Developing information, tools, and /or analysis about the situation of populations left behind in Latin America and the Caribbean or specific sub-regions.
• Based on a common understanding of issues concerning the principle of Leaving No One Behind across the region, provide insights and policy tools.
• Facilitate the exchange of best practices, successful case studies, and lessons learned from other countries on advancing enabling environments and addressing the needs of Leaving No One Behind to replicate successful models.

• Capacity development on human rights and Leaving No One Behind-related elements to strengthen Cooperation Frameworks, Common Country Analysis formulation, and or other processes requiring a multi-partner approach or regional or subregional focus.
• Capacity building of United Nations country teams on existing tools on Leaving No One Behind analysis and human rights-based approaches.
• Capacity building of United Nations country teams on existing tools on Leaving No One Behind analysis and human rights-based approaches.
• Producing and disseminating joint key messages and/or joint communications strategy on the area of focus.
• Developing common advocacy and messaging to reinforce the coherence of the United Nations' position on human rights issues impacting Leaving No One Behind in the region.
• Producing and disseminating briefing papers and joint key messages on the area of focus.
• Developing common advocacy and messaging to reinforce the coherence of the United Nations' position on human rights issues impacting Leaving No One Behind in the region.

• Where relevant, development of joint positioning in relevant subregional, regional or global inter-government fora to advance issues, concerns, programming, and follow up for populations left behind.
• Promote inclusive governance structures that ensure the participation of Leaving No One Behind groups in decision-making processes.
