The purpose of the Working Group on Populations Left Behind (WG-PLB) is to foster collaboration on sustainable development issues most relevant to their respective regions, with a specific focus on the Leave No One Behind approach. It provides leadership on transboundary issues and enables a crosscutting approach inclusive of vulnerable populations.
Services
• Developing information, tools and /or analysis about the situation of populations left behind in the LAC region or specific sub regions.
• Based on a common understanding on issues concerning LNOB across the region, provide insights and policy tools.
• Facilitate the exchange of best practices, successful case studies, and lessons learned from other countries on advancing enabling environments and addressing the needs of LNOB to replicate successful models.
• Based on a common understanding on issues concerning LNOB across the region, provide insights and policy tools.

• Capacity development on human rights and LNOB related elements to strengthen UNSDCF, CCA formulation and or other processes requiring a multi-partner approach or regional or subregional focus.
• Capacity building of UNCTs on existing tools on LNOB analysis and human rights-based approaches.
• Capacity building of UNCTs on existing tools on LNOB analysis and human rights-based approaches.
• Producing and disseminating joint key messages and/or joint communications strategy on area of focus.
• Developing common advocacy and messaging to reinforce the coherence of the UN position on human rights issues impacting LNOB in the region.
• Producing and disseminating briefing papers and joint key messages and on area of focus.
