The Data and Statistics Working Group of the Regional Collaborative Platform for Latin America and the Caribbean aims to strengthen communication and coordination of statistical activities among United Nations entities, and regional and international organizations, contributing to monitoring the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at the regional level in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The working group was established in 2016 in response to the recommendation for improved statistical coordination and communication by the Statistical Conferences of the Americas (SCA) of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean. It operates within its framework and in close alignment with the Committee for the Coordination of Statistical Activities (CCSA).
